Bhaye Pragat Kripala English Meaning
Chhand (Verses): The compassionate one, the merciful to the downtrodden, has appeared, for the good of Kausalya. The mother (Kausalya) is joyous, the minds of the sages are captivated, beholding the wondrous form. His eyes are enchanting, his body is the color of a dark cloud, and he carries his own weapons in his four arms. Adorned with ornaments and a garland of flowers, with wide eyes, he is the boundless ocean of beauty, the destroyer of Khara (a demon). Joining her two hands, she says, "How can I praise you, the infinite?" You are beyond Maya (illusion), attributes and knowledge, the Vedas and Puranas proclaim. You are the ocean of compassion and bliss, the source of all virtues, and the scriptures and saints sing of you. That same Lord, affectionate to his devotees, has appeared for my benefit. The entire universe is made of your Maya, and the Vedas say it resides in each of your pores. That same Lord resides in my heart, this is like a joke, hearing it even the minds of the wise become unsteady. When knowledge arose, the Lord smiled, and desired to perform many kinds of divine plays. Telling a lovely story, he makes his mother understand in a way that she can feel a mother’s love for him. The mother spoke again, her mind wavering, "Give up this form, dear son. Perform the play of a child, very loving and gentle, this bliss is supremely unparalleled." Hearing this, the wise one began to cry, becoming a child though he is the king of Gods. Those who sing this story attain the feet of Hari (Vishnu), and they do not fall into the well of worldly existence. Doha (Couplet): For the sake of the Brahmins, cows, gods, and saints, He took the human incarnation. This body is formed by his own will, and He is beyond Maya and its attributes.

कृपालु, दीनदयाल, कौशल्या के हितकारी प्रकट हुए। हर्षित हुईं माता, मुनियों के मन को हरने वाले, अद्भुत रूप का विचार करने लगीं॥ आँखों को सुख देने वाले, श्याम रंग, अपने चारों हाथों में शस्त्र धारण किए हुए। आभूषण और वनमाला पहने, विशाल नेत्रों वाले, सुंदरता के सागर, खर राक्षस का संहार करने वाले॥ दोनों हाथ जोड़कर कहती हैं, हे अनंत! मैं आपकी स्तुति किस प्रकार करूँ? माया, गुण और ज्ञान से परे, अप्रमेय, ऐसा वेद और पुराण कहते हैं॥ करुणा और सुख के सागर, सभी गुणों के धाम, जिनकी श्रुतियाँ और संत महिमा गाते हैं। वे मेरे कल्याण के लिए, भक्तों पर प्रेम रखने वाले, लक्ष्मीपति प्रकट हुए हैं॥ आपके प्रत्येक रोम-रोम में ब्रह्मांड रचा हुआ है, ऐसा वेद कहते हैं। आप मेरे हृदय में बसते हैं, यह उपहास की बात सुनकर, धैर्यवान का धैर्य भी स्थिर नहीं रहता॥ जब ज्ञान उत्पन्न हुआ, प्रभु मुस्कुराए, वे अनेक प्रकार के चरित्र करना चाहते हैं। सुंदर कथा सुनाकर, माता को समझाया, जिस प्रकार पुत्र से प्रेम प्राप्त होता है॥ माता फिर बोलीं, उनकी बुद्धि डोल गई, हे तात! इस रूप को त्याग दो। अत्यंत प्रिय लगने वाली बाल लीला करो, यह सुख परम अनुपम है॥ सुंदर वचन सुनकर, देवताओं के राजा बालक बनकर रोने लगे। जो इस चरित्र का गान करते हैं, वे हरि के पद को प्राप्त करते हैं, और संसार रूपी कुएँ में नहीं गिरते॥ विपत्तियों का निवारण करने वाले, कलियुग के पापों को हरने वाले, जन्म को सफल बनाने वाले का गुणगान करो। श्री राम के चरणों में प्रेम, निर्मल बुद्धि, जीवन सफल हो, हरि का नाम जपो॥
