Jai Jai Surnayak Jan Sukhdayak English Meaning
Victory, victory to the leader of the gods, giver of joy to people, protector of the surrendered, O Lord. Protector of cows and Brahmins, victory to the enemy of demons, beloved husband of the daughter of the ocean (Lakshmi). Sustainer of the gods and the earth, your deeds are wondrous, their mystery unknown to any. He who is naturally compassionate, merciful to the poor, bestow grace, O that one. Victory, victory to the imperishable, residing in every heart, all-pervading, supreme bliss. Unmanifest, beyond the senses, of pure deeds, free from illusion, O liberator. For whom the detached and deeply devoted, free from delusion, the host of sages, Day and night meditate, sing the virtues, victory to the embodiment of truth, consciousness, and bliss. He who created the universe, made it threefold, with no other helper. May he, the remover of sins, take care of our worries, know that we have neither devotion nor worship. The one who destroys the fear of the cycle of birth and death, delights the minds of sages, and crushes the multitude of calamities. With mind, words, deeds, and speech, abandoning wisdom, the entire group of gods takes refuge. Sharada (Saraswati), the Vedas, Shesha, and countless sages, whom no one knows. To whom the poor are dear, the Vedas proclaim, may that glorious Lord be moved to compassion. Like the Mandara mountain in the ocean of existence, beautiful in every way, a temple of virtues, a heap of joy. Sages, perfected beings, all the gods, greatly frightened, bow to the lotus feet of the Lord.
